Travelling Life
Trailers on site Travellers live in trailers.
The trailers are posh.
These are the trailers on our site.
I never will live in a house.
This is my Aunt Matilda's trailer.
She has a lovely posh trailer.
She bought the trailer in Macclesfield.
Outside of trailer
Inside trailer This is inside Matilda's trailer.
It has central heating and a TV and video in it.
It has a kingsize bed.
It is very comfortable.
Lots of travelling people have very expensive china, Crown Derby, Minton and Wedgewood.
This is Crown Derby. It is very rare.
There is gold all around the edges and through the pattern. You can't put it in the microwave, it would blow up !
We don't use it to eat off, but we use the cups when visitors come.
You have to wash them one by one because if you put them all together they would chip and break.
Crown Derby china
Washing up It is my job to wash them. I use a green dish for the water and fairy liquid and a white dishcloth.
I wash them once a week on Saturday or Sunday because they get dusty. It takes me about two hours to wash them all and my back is aching afterwards.
My Mam got some of this Crown Derby for wedding presents and she keeps buying it to add to it.
She will pass it on to me when I get married and some of her statue dolls as well.
